The Opportunity
The Disability Programs’ Quality Assurance Unit is seeking two analytical professionals who are passionate about continuous improvement to join our team as Quality Assurance Specialists. One position will be located in Saskatoon, while the other will be located in Prince Albert or North Battleford. The Quality Assurance team works collaboratively with Community Living Service Delivery (CLSD) and other service providers to ensure programs and services are provided in a safe and supportive environment, fostering a culture of person centeredness and enhancing the quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will:
- Complete reviews of contracted service providers to assess compliance with legislative requirements and established policies.
- Provide training and information to a variety of audiences and supplementary documentation as needed.
- Assess internal Disability Programs case and contract management files.
- Maintain and monitor datasets as they relate to quality assurance.
- Develop documents to summarize, review, and/or audit findings and create corresponding recommendations with a focus on continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate
You will have knowledge of:
- Programs and services offered through Disability Programs and Community Living Service Delivery.
You will have the ability to:
- Gather and evaluate information objectively to identify relevant issues and concerns to generate recommendations to uphold appropriate application of legislation, regulation, policies, and contracts with the goal of quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Accurately explain and discuss complex legislation, regulation, policies and contracts to others in a manner appropriate to the audience both verbally and in writing.
- Plan, prioritize and organize a large volume of tasks and projects for self and others taking into consideration frequent interruptions and conflicting or changing priorities to meet strict deadlines.
- Constructively and collaboratively encourage, influence, and persuade internal and external stakeholders to facilitate change to achieve desired outcomes.
- Demonstrate the Government of Saskatchewan Core Values.
The knowledge and experience required to achieve the above is obtained through:
- A 4-year post-secondary degree in a human service-related field. However, an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience will be considered.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities and service providers will be considered an asset.
- A valid Saskatchewan driver's license is required due to the need for regular travel throughout the province with the possibility of overnight stays. Work outside of regular hours may be occasionally required.
